Following the successful start last year, LPS Event Catering once again turned the Bad Hamburg Open – the WTA grass-court tournament in Hessen – into a culinary highlight.
Top women’s tennis meets top culinary performance: With gorgeous weather and a unique atmosphere in the midst of the spa gardens steeped in history, the cooking went on for eight days from mornings till evenings in order to pamper thousands of visitors with cuisine at its finest. They included high-echelon VIPs, players, guests, journalists, sponsors and members of the crew.
LPS designed a food concept that included a wide variety of creations, live cooking and a fittingly tennis-style table and buffet setup. The offer ranged from pulled salmon with venere rice and truffled cauliflower with lemon and capers, straight through to our all-time favourite, the Bad Homburg Open Burger.
What else couldn’t fail to be on hand? Sweet dessert classics, of course! LPS proceeded to bring a genuine “Wimbledon feeling” to Bad Homburg and served scrumptious strawberries with cream to its guests. Our nicest compliment after eight event days? A thoroughly satisfied client and happy guests.
“We were allowed to implement the gastronomy at the Bad Homburg Open for the second time together with the agency Perfect Match and have surpassed ourselves once again. Catering for 450 VIPs and around 3,000 public guests daily was a real challenge that our team mastered with flying colours. LPS and Perfect Match are nothing less than an unbeatable team,” was how Dennis Wille, Director of Sales, commented on the collaboration.
From Imola to Monte Carlo, from Spielberg to Monza. LPS Event Catering was in charge of the entire motorsport hospitality at the Porsche Mobil 1 Supercup, which took place throughout Europe on a total of eight racing weekends.
Bright sunshine, spectacular atmosphere, a fantastic vibe and hungry guests. If those weren’t the perfect conditions to steward culinary activity at the Supercup – parallel to Formula 1, the royal class of motorsport. And right in the midst between all the great sportsmen, fast cars and hotly contested races, the LPS Team brought the demanding motorsport hospitality to the starting line. While accomplishing this at all eight locations for the series of races, about 6,000 guests – including clients, sponsors, journalists, staff and athletes – were indulged with first-rate catering.
LPS specially designed a unique food concept that reflected the respective race venue in all the foods and beverages. The guests’ palates were pampered in style, from French dishes such as beef bourguignon with carrots and mushrooms, all the way to a fine roast with stewed onions and creamy polenta from Austrian cuisine.
The outcome: a complete success from the standing start to the finish line. “At each of the eight races we realised again and again that the same passion for good food and for delighting our guests burns in us,” was how LPS Managing Director Rüdiger Bähr summed up the fantastic job done by his crew.
LPS Event Catering organised the Porsche European Open on behalf of the European Tour and, in terms of tasty delectability, landed a “hole in one”. For no less than roughly 2,000 VIPs and over 30,000 guests in the areas open to the public.
This was the third time that the world-class golf tournament took place on the grounds of the Green Eagles Club in Winsen near Hamburg, Germany. For four days the LPS team was in charge of VIP hospitality and public catering, while also attending to the catering for staff, the media and caddies. The work included performing in the widest variety of settings that would be hard to surpass with respect to their scale and complexity. The team from LPS created fantastic food at upscale “live cooking” and “grab & go” stations.
The stations were restaged time and again to match the time of day and presented with a loving eye for detail. But that’s not all: A barbecue station on the VIP terrace proved to be extremely popular, while stylish food trucks and airstreams deployed in the public area had an abundant range of foods and beverages on offer.
The LPS crew of 120 men and women convinced by displaying maximum commitment and ensured that all of the events ran smoothly – in the kitchen, with service, and the logistics. Delicious down to the last putt. The client was delighted, the golf and sports fans raved.
